Reverse osmosis
Multi-stage filtration that removes most dissolved contaminants. The closest thing to pure water from a tap, at a higher price and with a small tank under the sink.

Cartridge intervals depend on water use and the water coming in. Tank water on rural blocks needs a different set-up from town water.

Is Caboolture tap water safe to drink?
Yes. It is treated and tested by Unitywater. A filter is about taste, chlorine and sediment, not safety, unless you are on an untreated tank supply.
How often do cartridges need changing?
Most under-sink and whole-house cartridges last six to twelve months; sediment-heavy supplies need them sooner. Reverse osmosis membranes last longer than the pre-filters in front of them.
Can a filter be added to my existing mixer tap?
Some systems feed the cold side of the existing mixer; others use a separate small tap on the sink. Both are options and we explain the difference before quoting.
Do you install filters in rentals?
With the owner's permission. A benchtop or inline unit that leaves no permanent change is the usual choice for a rental.
