What size tank do you need?
Roof area decides how much water you can catch, and what you want to run decides how much you need to store. A tank feeding garden taps only can be small. One that runs toilets and the laundry for a family through a dry stretch needs to be larger, and the block has to have room for it.
We look at the roof, the downpipes that can feed the tank, the space on the block and what the water is for, then recommend a size and a pump to match.

Can a rainwater tank supply the whole house?
With a pump, filtration and a mains changeover, it can supply toilets, laundry and garden easily and drinking water with the right treatment. Most town-water homes connect toilets, laundry and outside taps and leave drinking water on the mains.
Do I need council approval for a tank?
Small domestic tanks are generally allowed without a building approval in Queensland, subject to size and placement rules. The plumbing connection to the house is licensed work and includes backflow prevention. We tell you what applies to your block.
Why has my tank pump started cycling on and off?
Usually a leak or a dripping tap on the tank side, a failed pressure switch or a waterlogged pressure tank. We find which and fix it.
How often should a tank be serviced?
A yearly check of the leaf guard, first-flush diverter, filters and pump keeps the water clean and the pump alive. Sediment in the tank is removed less often.
