HOW OUR PRICING WORKS

Caboolture Plumbing Quotes and Pricing

When we arrive at your property, we don't start a timer and leave you guessing what the final bill will be. Our Caboolture plumbers look at the problem, work out the job and give you a fixed price before we touch anything. That way you can see what the plumbing work will cost before approving the job.

We price the work, not the hours

The time involved depends on what we find once we're on site. We account for access, replacement parts and the equipment needed when pricing the job.

Fixed upfront pricing Our approach

  • After we inspect the problem, we explain what needs fixing and what it will cost
  • We only start the repair once you've approved the price
  • One clear number covers the plumber, the parts and the equipment
  • The price for the agreed work doesn't move if the job takes longer

Hourly rates Common elsewhere

  • The rate alone doesn't show the total cost of the job
  • A lower rate can mean more hours on the clock
  • Parts, travel and a second visit land on the invoice later
  • You find out the real cost when the bill arrives

What we include in your quote

Our quote covers the whole job: the plumber on site, the parts needed for the repair and the equipment required to complete the work. It also covers the business costs involved in providing a licensed and insured plumbing service across Caboolture.

Licensed labour

The time and skill needed to diagnose the fault and complete the approved plumbing work.

Parts and fittings

Quality materials and fittings suited to the repair, replacement or installation.

Service vans and equipment

Vans equipped with modern plumbing tools to diagnose and complete the work on site.

Licensing and insurance

QBCC licensing and insurance for residential and commercial plumbing work.

Scheduling and job support

Warranty cover

Warranties that apply to our plumbing work and the products we install.

Our job pricing margin

We use the same cost structure as the job gets bigger. These two examples show how the pricing model works at different job values.

Worked example

$2,000 job

50% direct costs, 45% running the business, 5% profit

Direct job costs$1,000
Labour 30%$600
Materials 20%$400
Overheads$900
Vehicles and repairs 6%$120
Insurances 6%$120
Office and facilities 6%$120
Fuel and tools 3%$60
Admin team 14%$280
Marketing 10%$200
Margin$100
Profit 5%$100
Total job price$2,000
Worked example

$5,000 job

50% direct costs, 45% running the business, 5% profit

Direct job costs$2,500
Labour 30%$1,500
Materials 20%$1,000
Overheads$2,250
Vehicles and repairs 6%$300
Insurances 6%$300
Office and facilities 6%$300
Fuel and tools 3%$150
Admin team 14%$700
Marketing 10%$500
Margin$250
Profit 5%$250
Total job price$5,000

Same percentages, same pricing logic. A larger job carries larger direct costs and overheads, but the rules don't change from one customer or suburb to the next.

How our quote works on site

1

Book the visit

Call us and we arrange the visit. We service Caboolture and the surrounding areas, including Burpengary, Morayfield, Kallangur, North Lakes, Narangba, Bribie Island, Deception Bay, Mango Hill, Albany Creek and Strathpine.

2

Your plumber checks the problem

On site, our plumber has a quick chat with you about what's going on, then checks the affected plumbing, the access to it and anything else that could be contributing to the problem.

3

We provide your upfront quote

Once we've confirmed what the job involves, your plumber talks you through the recommended work and answers your questions. You get the price for that work before deciding whether to go ahead.

4

Work proceeds with your approval

Once you're comfortable with the scope and the price, the work goes ahead. If any additional work is needed, your plumber discusses it with you before proceeding.

Questions answered

Do you charge a call-out fee?

Yes. The call-out fee covers the cost of sending our licensed plumber to your property in Caboolture, including travel time, fuel, the service vehicle and the time spent inspecting and diagnosing your plumbing problem.

How much more will it cost if you find another problem?

Before you approve the original job, we'll tell you if there's a chance other issues could come up during the work, so you know about the possibility upfront. If we do find something else, we explain the additional cost before going any further.

Why is a fixed quote different from a plumber's hourly rate?

An hourly estimate mainly tells you what a plumber charges for their time. Our quote is based on the whole job we've assessed, so it includes the labour, parts, equipment and other costs needed to complete the work. You get the total price for the agreed work, regardless of how long the job takes.

Why show the margins at all?

Because a fixed price only works if you trust the number. Showing that half of every dollar is the plumber and the parts, and five cents is profit, is the simplest way to show the price is fair.
