Why pipes fail around Caboolture
Much of Morayfield, Bellmere and Narangba was built from the 1980s onward, and the pipework in those homes is now decades old. Galvanised steel corrodes from the inside, early poly and PVC become brittle, and joints that have gone through thousands of hot and cold cycles in the Queensland sun give up without warning.

Where is my water meter?
Usually in a box at the front boundary near the footpath. The isolation tap next to the meter turns clockwise to close. If you cannot find it, call and we will talk you to it.
Can I patch a burst pipe temporarily?
Turning the water off is the only reliable temporary fix. Tape and clamps rarely hold on a pressurised line and can make the split worse.
Will insurance cover a burst pipe?
Many home policies cover sudden water damage from a burst pipe but not the worn pipe itself. Keep the damaged section and our invoice; we describe the cause on it.
Why did my pipe burst with no warning?
Corrosion inside a galvanised pipe, a brittle old joint, root pressure or ground movement can all fail suddenly. High mains pressure makes any of them more likely, and a pressure limiting valve reduces the risk.
